last critique

This picture was taken in Central Park's Strawberry Fields .  It is a dedication to the musical legend John Lennon build after his assassination.  It is a replica of the famous mosaic in Pompeii which was a gift from Naples, Italy.  The only change being the incursion within the center stating "Imagine".  John Lennon, was a main activist in the public eye with his peace movement during the 60s and 70s as well as anti-war marches during Vietnam.  He expressed love and equality for all through his movements and songs such as "Give Peace a Chance".  Able to touch the hearts of every individual, John Lennon is and forever will be a legend.

The emphasis of the photo is focused around the motive "imagine", and a dream of everyone in life living in peace and harmony with each other.  The pigment of the color added to the mosaic black and white with hue of a rainbow added from peoples dedications with flowers.  It gives off a content of love with the acceptance and respect of everyone in life.  It renders a mosaic with harmony added by peoples added flowers to the artwork.  Also with a highlight directing the viewer towards the main image being displayed, the center piece, "imagine".

Walking through Central Park on a sunny spring afternoon i come across the location of Strawberry Fields. With birds chirping from branches above and peaceful rays of sunshine glimmering off the trees.  Suddenly my attention is directed towards a mosaic emblem on the road.  "Imagine" states within the center and covered with flowers shaping a peace sign from others passing by.  It gives me a thought, a thought of peace and happiness.  People living as one, without fighting.  A world where everyone can get along and respect one another. After regaining my train of thought i continue walking, too bad it is only implied.  But as i continued on my way the idea still was lingering on my mind.  What if we could live in happiness; everyone as a whole?  Why can't we give peace a chance? It could bring many wonders to the world. Our world.
